Poem by Sk Saniur Rahaman

Literacy

You call them as illiterate,
They don't have manner;
But how do they survive here?
For you, it doesn't matter!

They haven't earned today;
Well, you have been credited;
Ever asked if they are alive?
No! Because they are illiterate?

They wander in the market,
Become the community threat;
You are sheltered, quarantined;
You are at home, why so afraid?

Why are'nt they at home?
Now do they matter? Wait!
It’s not their, but your literacy,
Which calls them to be illiterate.
